No less than 77 countries are currently in the NAVTEQ database with a prime coverage map and over 180 countries with an entry map, as teams of field researchers spread across the globe each day, continually driving and exploring, traveling millions of kilometers of roads, collecting detailed digital data so as to build a map that closely reflects real world conditions. Millions of Points of Interest are added this way, all resulting in a reliable and continually refined digital map that all in all enriches the consumer’s brand experience.

NAVTEQ was acquired by Nokia in August 2008. NAVTEQ is now a division of Nokia.
